Aguila Entertainment warns the public to be wary of fake ads featuring their artist, Kapuso star Jennylyn Mercado.

Aguila Entertainment released a statement to warn the public about an online gaming ad using unauthorized images and videos of Jennylyn Mercado.

The artist management agency posted the warning on their social media pages. It was also shared by Kapuso Drama King and Jennylyn's husband, Dennis Trillo.

“Our artist, Jennylyn Mercado, is not endorsing nor is she affiliated in any way with the online gaming platform 'PH Sugar,'” the statement read.

The statement read that the said group is using the Kapuso Ultimate Star's photos and videos in Facebook ads without the consent of the artist or the management.

The artist management agency also said that they are now talking to authorities to “discuss the next steps.”

In the end, Aguila Entertainment said, “We remind the public to be vigilant and verify legitimacy of any online gaming platform.”

Jennylyn is not the only Kapuso star whose name ang photos have been used in fake ads. One of which is comedy genius Michael V, who once warned fans and followers of a fake ad of himself using a deep fake video.

“A.I. was used to replace my mouth movement. They used A.I. para pag-aralan at gayahin 'yung real voice ko. The user created a script para i-lipsync ng mouth animation. These fake photos, alam n'yo na kung ga'no kadaling gawin. Dinoktor din nila yung comments ko para malinis,” Michael V warned.

He also warned his fans and followers to be alert and to not be taken in by fake content.

“Ang Artificial Intelligence (A.I.), masyado nang tumatalino. Dapat matuto tayong maging mapanuri kung ang pinapanood o binabasa ay fake o totoo. Please REPORT and share,” he added.
