Jeremiah Tiangco's new single, “Sa Tuwing Umuulan,” debuted at number 13 on iTunes Philippines.
“Sa Tuwing Umuulan” was launched today, July 25, on Spotify, YouTube Music, Apple Music, and other digital platforms worldwide.
The single's strong performance on iTunes was shared by GMA Music on social media.
The Clash Season 2 winner admitted feeling emotional while recording the song as it reminded him of his late uncle and grandmother.
“'Yung ulan kumbaga iyon 'yung nagsasabi na ito 'yung memories namin noong okay pa kami, noong buhay pa siya. 'Pag tuwing umuulan nare-reminisce mo 'yung good memories nilang dalawa,” Jeremiah said during a media conference held on July 23.
He added, “Kapag umuulan kasi 'yun 'yung time na naaalala ko sila, na bakit ba nangyari 'yun, dapat hindi na lang. Kaya noong ni-record ko po ito, sobrang heartfelt. May time na noong rini-rehearse ko po siya sa bahay... teary-eyed po talaga ako kasi nami-miss ko [sila lola at tito].”
