The last time viewers saw Jeremy on TV, he was trying to lead Captain Barbell to his final resting place. But like any other super villain, Jeremy’s character failed. stars He’s back with a vengeance, this time though, not as another anti-hero. He plays Jojo Acuesta, an evil antagonist from the ‘80s from the classic masterpiece Kung Mahawi Man ang Ulap, originally produced by Viva films and directed by Laurice Guillen. “Ako si Michael De Mesa dito, yung role ko, masama (na) parang happy-go-lucky na parating may balak,” he says of his character who is intent on taking the wealth of Catherine’s family (Nadine Samonte) for himself. On being evil Jeremy confesses that playing such role is a challenge, especially since it was first portrayed by award-winning actor Michael De Mesa. “Eto sinusubukan, saka papanoorin ko yung original film para magaya ko (at magkaroon) ng sariling style,” he says. stars He also admits that although most of the roles he’s played before are of the prime evil type, he sometimes doubts his capacity to act out these type of characters. “Sobrang hirap talaga ako sa kontrabida role kasi medjo hirap ako ilabas yung galit.” But Jeremy is very optimistic that he’ll mold into his character Jojo because he knows he’s in good hands with Director Mac Alejandre. “Excited po ako na ma-direk niya (para) mahasa at matuto naman po ako.” Aside from Direk Mac, he also relies on his co-stars for support. With Jeremy’s quest for self-improvement will the show be as great as its predecessor Sinasamba Kita? “Kung anu man yung na achieve ng Sinasamba Kita, I’m sure na kaya namin pantayan yun, maganda yung cast, script and everything. Sana lang suportahan nila.” Be sure to watch Sine Serye’s Kung Mahawi Man Ang Ulap weekdays on GMA’s dramarama sa hapon.
