Jessica Sanchez made history with her incredible vocal prowess as she was recently hailed the winner of America's Got Talent Season 20.
As seen in her latest Instagram post, the Filipino-American singer shared a throwback photo of herself when she joined the same talent competition years ago, as well as snaps of her journey in AGT.
“I've taken the last two days to sit still, breathe, and truly process everything that just happened. My heart is overflowing with joy, gratitude, and a peace I can't quite put into words,” she wrote.
Jessica also said that winning America's Got Talent wasn't just about one performance, but about a journey that started over 20 years ago.
“From a little girl with a dream and a voice that was bigger than her confidence, to the countless auditions, rejections, stages, and moments of doubt along the way… every single step shaped me and prepared me for this momentum.
“This isn't just a trophy or a title, it's the reminder that dreams delayed are not dreams denied. That God's timing is always perfect. That perseverance, faith, and love can carry you through valleys you never thought you'd get out of,” she added.
She then thanked her family, friends, and to everyone who supported her throughout the highs and lows of her journey.
“This victory isn't just mine, it's ours. It belongs to everyone who has ever dared to keep going, even when the road felt too long,” she said.
Before ending her post, Jessica penned a short but sweet message for her daughter, Eliana Mae, saying “And to my baby girl, Eliana Mae.. Mama did it. We did it.”
It was in 2006 when Jessica Sanchez first competed in the first season of AGT at the age of 10, but didn't qualify in the finals. After 19 years, she returned to the competition and automatically advanced to the live shows after she got a golden buzzer from judge Sofia Vergara.
Aside from AGT, Jessica also appeared on American Idol in 2012 where she became a finalist.
