The Philippines is beaming with pride after Fil-Am talent Jessica Sanchez received “one of the most emotional Golden Buzzer” in the talent search program America's Got Talent (AGT).
She swayed the judges with her emotional and powerful performance of "Beautiful Things" by Benson Boone.
This marks Jessica's return to the AGT stage after reaching the semi-finals of its first season in 2006, as well as her coming back to her love of music.
“I did get eliminated, it was devastating. But it really did help me realize, like I wanna sing. AGT was the beginning of that fire sparked inside of me,” said Jessica. “Throughout the years, I kind of fell out of love with music because I was really young and I was so swayed by what everybody wanted me to be, who they wanted me to be.”
Jessica emphasized, “Maybe it took me 20 years, but I know exactly who I am, I know exactly what I want. I'm excited to be back.”

Her performance earned her a standing ovation from the AGT judges, Simon Cowell, Mel B, Howie Mandel, and Sofia Vergara, and ultimately, the Golden Buzzer from Sofia.
“I think there's something very special that happened on the stage with you. It's so amazing that we're on the 20th anniversary of AGT, the 20th season, and you're here again after 20 years. You're pregnant. You're so beautiful. You're so ready to do all this,” Sofia told Jessica.
"I really don't understand what happened in these 20 years, but I guess they were meant to be because this is a special moment, and I think you deserve [the Golden Buzzer],” she added before enthusiastically pressing the golden buzzer.
With her Golden Buzzer moment, Jessica will now officially advance to live shows and no longer have to participate in any audition rounds.
