Jessica Sanchez is set to embrace her Filipino roots even more as she prepares to release a Tagalog EP.

Filipina-American singer Jessica Sanchez is preparing to embrace her Pinoy roots even further through a special upcoming project.

During her homecoming press conference, the America's Got Talent Season 20 champion happily teased new music, including a Tagalog EP.

“Very excited to release much more music. I'm also working on releasing a Tagalog EP. I'm very excited for that as well,” she shared.

Jessica said she is thrilled to work on the special project and remains open to more musical surprises along the way.

“I am learning Tagalog with my daughter right now,” she said. “I definitely want to be a part of the creative process. That's something I really enjoy doing. But also, I do plan on collaborating in Tagalog with other Filipino artists. I think that will be very fun.”

As of now, further details about the EP remain under wraps. Still, Jessica promised that more updates will be revealed soon.

“I feel like the Tagalog album or EP is top secret. As of right now, it's top secret. So I really don't want to say too much about that. We are working heavily on that. I'm very excited that it's gonna be coming out. There are still a lot of things we need to do for that,” she said.

Meanwhile, the vocal powerhouse is preparing to serenade Filipino fans at her upcoming concert this Saturday, May 16, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

She will be joined by several OPM stars and Filipino celebrities, including Gary Valenciano, Regine Velasquez, Martin Nievera, Morissette, Darren Espanto, James Reid, and Vice Ganda.

“For this concert, I will be singing Tagalog. I don't know if I'll be singing it from the EP, but I'll be singing Tagalog. This is for all the Filipino supporters who showed out to me throughout the years,” she added.

When asked whether any of her guest performers might appear on the EP, Jessica responded with a smile:

“Who knows! Like I said, there are so many amazing artists out here that I'm very, very excited to really hoping to work with.”
