How are Jessy and her baby doing? Find out in this article:

Getting pregnant is one of the best things that could happen to any family. However, with the current pandemic, it could also be worrying as actress Jessy Mendiola said when she recently revealed that she tested positive for Covid-19 while five months pregnant.

In her recent Instagram post, Jessy revealed that she experienced symptoms of the virus and tested positive on September 13, despite almost three years of being careful.

“It was my first time to get infected with the virus. I never thought I would get it while 5 months (and 3 weeks) pregnant,” she said.

Last August, Jessy and her husband Luis Manzano revealed that she's pregnant with their first baby they lovingly call peanut. And by the end of the month, they've revealed that they will be having a baby girl.

Jessy however, admitted how hard it is to get infected with the virus while being pregnant since she's worrying not only for herself but for her baby and her husband.

“Sa mga preggy mommies/ladies, I'm sure makaka-relate kayo dito... ang hirap pala talaga magkasakit kapag alam mong may dinadala ka sa iyong sinapupunan hindi dahil sa sarili mo, pero dahil mag-aalala ka talaga para sa baby mo at siyempre para sa asawa mo,” she said.

She also added how she wanted to share her experience to reiterate that the virus is “still very much around” despite how protocols started easing up.

“I hope we still protect each other in our own little ways,” she added.

Meanwhile, in her latest YouTube vlog, she showed how Luis did not leave her and peanut's side, saying that he will take care of them, adding that he will only get mild effects in case he gets hit with the virus since he's vaccinated numerous times.

However, Jessy was able to persuade Luis to stay in a different room after a few days since he does not have any symptoms yet.

Meanwhile, family, friends, and fans alike have sent their love, support, and prayers to Jessy, reassuring her that baby Peanut will be safe.
