Sparkle actress Jillian Ward continues to show grace and strength as she finally broke her silence on the rumors surrounding her luxurious lifestyle--and the baseless accusations that she has a “sugar daddy.”
In a heartfelt one-on-one interview with Boy Abunda on his top-rating GMA Afternoon Prime talk show yesterday, October 21, Jillian became emotional as she passionately defended her mother, Mama Jennifer, from the hurtful fake news being spread online.
"Sobrang sakit talaga, Tito Boy," Jillian said tearfully. "Kasi my parents didn't raise me that way. And lahat ng meron ako, pinagpaguran ko, and my mom would never do that to me."
Shortly after the interview, the Kapuso star took to Instagram to post a touching message for her mom, writing simply yet powerfully: “I love you, Mama.”
Her sincerity resonated with many, including GMA Network Senior Vice President for Programming, Talent Management, Worldwide, and Support Group and GMA Films CEO Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes, and Sparkle GMA Artist Center First Vice President Joy Marcelo, who both expressed their love and support for the young actress on social media.
Despite the controversies, Jillian remains focused on her craft. She's currently busy filming her next big project, “Never Say Die,” alongside David Licauco, Raheel Bhyria, and South Korean actor Kim Ji Soo--proving once again that hard work, not hearsay, defines her success.
