While in the middle of taping her GMA Prime series My Ilonggo Girl in a hospital, Jillian Ward and Michael Sager took time off to visit a cervical cancer patient named Lola Nimfa Magno.
Based on a 24 Oras report, Jill's standby area was located just across the patient's room and she and Michael decided to spend some time with Lola Nimfa.
The Star of the New Gen even offered financial help and even brought some fruits to her.
Jillian was seen telling Lola Nimfa, “Naalala ko sa inyo 'yung lola ko at 'yung panganay ko na kapatid kasi noong na-ospital 'yung lola ko sila 'yung magkasama, so, saludo ako sa inyo.”
Jillian then recalled what happened to her late grandmother who contracted COVID-19. Jillian added that she wasn't able to say even a proper goodbye to her.
"Nung na-confine na siya, hindi ko na siya nakita. Even when she passed away, hindi puwedeng sumilip sa casket niya kasi COVID-19 patient. So last memory ko sa lola ko ay pinagbabalat ko siya [ng] oranges."
In other news, the hit kilig serye My Ilonggo Girl continues to rake in hundreds of millions of views online. On TikTok alone, content generated about the GMA Public Affairs series has garnered over 71.5 million views as of February 4.
