GMA Network and GMA Public Affairs bring back the “kilig” on GMA Prime with the new series My Ilonggo Girl, starring Jillian Ward and Michael Sager.
This romantic-comedy series will revolve around the life of a famous actress and influencer Venice and her doppelganger, the pretty Ilongga Tata--both played by Jillian.
The two Sparkle artists talked about their roles in the GMA Prime series on "Chika Minute" recently.
Jillian admitted that it was “tricky” for her to portray Venice, since she is the exact opposite of her character in real life.
“Si Tata 'yung makulit lang siya, very carefree. So, masasabi ko almost same lang kami.” Jill said.
“Pero po si Venice, nahihirapan po ako kasi ano siya, maldita po siya dito. Sobrang seryoso, nanakit siya ganun. Lagi siyang galit, so nahihirapan po ako, kasi in real life hindi ako marunong magalit.”
“Actually, pag nagagalit po ako iniiyak ko siya.”
Meanwhile, Michael said he can relate to his role as Francis and his love for his family.
The Kapuso actor explained, “I'd like to say that I'm very driven. If I want something, I really work hard to achieve it. And yes si Francis po, he wants to do well in his business. Ako naman po I want to do well in my career, while minding my family very important sa amin both.”
Kilig is back on primetime! Don't miss the world premiere of My Ilonggo Girl this coming January 13 at 9:35 p.m. on GMA Prime.
