JM Yrreverre is grateful that he met Glaiza De Castro: 'She became my ate.'
JM Yrreverre's Stars on the Floor journey may have ended, but it gave him something even more special--a heartwarming friendship with his dance partner, Glaiza De Castro.
In an Instagram post, the digital dance star shared a compilation video of their moments, from rehearsals and performances to cute bonding moments, along with an appreciation message for Glaiza.
“I've made so many posts about SOTF already, but I couldn't let this one pass without doing an appreciation post for my partner,” he began.
Looking back on their videos together, he realized that “genuine souls really do exist.”
“Coming into this show knowing she was part of it, I was already intimidated, especially since I've been watching her since I was a kid. And then, to find out I was partnered with her permanently for the show, it felt surreal,” JM revealed.
JM shared that the moment he said yes to the show, he already knew that it would be “far beyond anything I'd experienced in my dancing career.”
He admitted that being in showbiz scared him, which led him to doubt himself. However, he said Glaiza was there to “calm the storm.”
“She became my ate, always reminding me to stay true to myself and not get lost in what the show dictates,” he said.
“She would often say that I helped her become a better dancer, but little did she know she helped me in ways no one else could. She made sure I was ready , even shared her make up artist with me, she made sure that I had eaten, that I had everything I needed for our routines,” he shared.
JM added, “I even told her I wanna do fast talk, and she went her way to get in it. She would always celebrate my wins and would remind me what the world has in store for me. She shared a side of herself that very few ever get to see, and for that, I'll always be grateful.”
During their time together on Stars on the Floor, he witnessed how amazing Glaiza is--not just as a dance partner but as a real friend.
“Salamat for being you and for always making sure I was safe. I enjoyed every single routine we created together, and it made me so happy to see you go from being quiet on stage to cheering and shouting with excitement during our performances. That alone fills my heart, knowing I got to show you my world of dance and that you let me into yours,” he expressed.
“Love you, my cunty Pirena @glaizaredux . Here's to the next dance and the next comeback.”
In the comments section, Glaiza could not help but feel emotional about JM's appreciation message.
“HALA GUMANTI SIYA NAGPAIYAK RIN. Birthday ko baaaaa bat ganoooon,” Glaiza said.
She also thanked JM, “Friendship like this can't be bought, and it can't be faked. Grateful for a crazy talented, beautiful soul like you LOVE YOU SO MUCHHHHH MY KAMBAL DIWA.”
