Guam-based musician JMRTN describes Lani Misalucha as one of the most wonderful and down-to-earth artists he's met.
J Martin Castro or JMRTN, formerly of Retrospect, shared his working experience with Asia's Nightingale Lani Misalucha.
"Sa sobrang busy ng Nightingale, hindi kami makapag-show anywhere else. Now, she's busy with The Clash, over GMA-7, ngayon magtatagpo kami sa Philippines."
The Guam-based singer said he'll be more visible in the music scene in the Philippines especially now that he has a single and concert coming up with Lani Misalucha.
Their collaboration titled "Iisa lang" was released in August.
"The song and the music video was done in Las Vegas, last month. We launched the song in Las Vegas. Come November, we'll be having a bar tour at Newport World Resorts and a bar night in Alabang. Pinakinggan niya, kinabukasan sabi niya, 'Maganda siya, let's do it,'" he said.
He also described how Lani is as an artist, "Lani is one of the most dynamic voices of Filipino singers. She's also dynamic as a person. Sobrang bait and so easy to work with. Naglalakad kami sa Vegas, people would recognize her."
"One of the most wonderful people I've met in my entire life, sobrang down-to-earth siya. Everytime I go to Vegas, I have a room in their house kapag available."
JMRTN and Lani are having a series of bar tours at Bar IX in Molito, Alabang on November 14 and Bar 360 at the Newport World Resorts on November 15.
Meanwhile, JMRTN is performing solo at the Bar 360 on October 11. He part of the upcoming M.A.D.Z. Festival on October 12 at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium as well as the “Rated GIGI 2.0” of Gigi De Lana & Gigi Vibes Concert in Guam, USA on November 23.
JMRTN, together with REtroSPECT, is an ALIW Awards Hall of Fame Awardee for Best Performance in Hotels, Bars and Music Lounges in 2008, 2009 and 2010.
