“Masaya siyang katrabaho, super down-to-earth po kasi siya and lagi siyang nag-a-adjust for me," she shared in an interview.

Despite having a heartthrob as a co-actor, Jo said that she doesn't get so starstruck and sees Alden as a colleague and friend.

“Anak ko 'yung character niya doon so parang ang pangit.

"Siguro hindi ko siya matatawag na typical kilig, 'yung more of overwhelmed siguro ako kasi I've always wanted to work with him.”

Jo is currently playing the role of Strawberry in The Gift, Sep's (Alden Richards) mother. Though she's still single with no child of her own yet, she has her own ways of internalizing her character.

“Siguro dahil 'yung previous role ko as Onay is mom din, almost the same sila ni Strawberry, parang ganun din 'yung na-feel ko,” she added.

“Hindi naman po ganun kahirap kasi ang galing din ng mga nakakaeksena ko, they help me din.

"Nakakatulong din na sa story ng The Gift, meron akong mom na si Lola Char (Elizabeth Oropesa) tapos ako as Strawberry, 'yung anak ko si Sep, so kung ano 'yung nafi-feel ko from my mom 'yun din ang ginagawa ko.”
