The Kapuso actress shares her own life story this Saturday, April 12. Joining her in this special episode are Nico Antonio, Shyr Valdez, Larkin Castor, Hap Rice, Miko Peñaloza, Kiko Antonio, and Analyn Barro.
“Little Big Dreamer: The Jo Berry Life Story” follows Jo's journey as a little person who faced many challenges, but her dreams to uplift herself and her family are much bigger. When GMA Network held an audition for a role that required a little person, Jo bravely stepped forward.
Fate smiled upon her as she was chosen. Her family stood firmly by her side, especially her older brother Perry, who guided her through the early stages of her acting career. Their bond was filled with love, laughter, and support because Perry was always looking out for his youngest sister.
Jo never imagined that her appearance on Magpakailanman would lead to her breakthrough role in Onanay. This opened countless opportunities, allowing her to showcase her talent and prove her passion for acting.
But life also tested her strength. During the pandemic, Jo lost her beloved brother to COVID‑19, followed by the passing of her father and grandfather. Despite these heartbreaking losses, Jo pressed on, carrying with her the belief that her loved ones continue to guide her from above.
Directed by L.A. Madridejos, written by Tina Samson Velasco, and researched by Georis Cielo Tuca, this story is a moving reminder that while the path may not be easy, dreams do come true.
Catch Magpakailanman every Saturday at 8:15 p.m. on GMA-7. Global Pinoys can also catch the program via GMA Pinoy TV.
