Filipino-American stand-up comedian Jo Koy is on the front cover of American magazine Variety for its October 2020 issue.
He wrote on his official Facebook account, "I got the cover of Variety magazine, October 2020! 30 years in the game and this still feels so surreal.. Mike Miller Photo killed it with this shot."
He was previously featured in the magazine for his third Netflix comedy special "In His Elements," which was filmed in the Philippines and showcased Filipino culture.
Jo Koy was born to an American father and a Filipina mother. Jo Koy credits his mom, Josie, for his comedic and acting skills and is often the inspiration behind his skits.
