Encantadia star John Arcilla brought home his Best Actor trophy from the 34th Luna Awards for his portrayal of the title role in the highly-acclaimed independent film Heneral Luna.

On the other hand, Cannes Film Festival 2016 Best Actress Jaclyn Jose received a recognition from the Film Academy of the Philippines (FAP) for leading Brillante Mendoza’s Ma’ Rosa.

The versatile actress thanked Star for all Seasons Vilma Santos and FAP President Leo Martinez for nominating her film in the 2017 Oscars

Meanwhile, Jaclyn was also at the event to support fellow actor Noni Buencamino who also starred in Heneral Luna. She said wittily, “To all the winners, congratulations! (Heneral Luna swept Luna)”
