John Lloyd Cruz showed his quirky side by impersonating Mike Enriquez in an interview with '24 Oras.'
Ultimate leading man John Lloyd Cruz showed off his hidden talent in impersonation when he tried to mimic veteran Kapuso broadcast journalist Mike Enriquez.
In an interview on 24 Oras, the actor gave an update on his new sitcom, the first project he is slated to do with the Kapuso network.
His perennial love team partner, Bea Alonzo who was seated beside him during the virtual interview quipped that Cruz resembled Enriquez when he answered.
“Bakit pag nagsasalita, parang si Mike Enriquez?” Alonzo said while containing her laughter.
This is where Cruz played out his answers following Enriquez's signature manner of speech.
“Alam mo Nelson, ang pwede ko lang ibahagi sa 'yo ay nakapag-taping na kami ng unang cycle namin. Pwede mong asahan yang information na yan. Hindi yan fake news,” Cruz said.
“Kung kailan kami eere ay hindi ko pa alam, Nelson. Bea, pasok!,” pahabol pa ng aktor habang nagtatawanan sina Bea at Nelson," added Cruz that got Alonzo and Chika Minute reporter Nelson Canlas laughing hard.
After the interview, Enriquez quickly reacted to Cruz's impersonation.
“Sabagay, dati na kong napagkamalang si John Lloyd," saad ni Mike. "Sa totoo lang...mahirap," Enriquez told fellow 24 Oras anchors Mel Tiangco and Vicky Morales.
This was met with a funny response from Tiangco, "Magising ka, Mike. Wake up, wake up.”
Cruz and Alonzo's comeback film One True Pair will air this 1 December via online streaming.
