PBB housemate Josh Ford 2023 car accident

Josh Ford is also grateful for the opportunity to create new friendship with the PBB housemates.

Netizens got to know more about the personal stories of their favorite Kapuso and Kapamilya stars in the hit television series Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition. During the first week inside the house, many housemates bravely opened up about the struggles they've faced in both their careers and personal lives.

One story that truly touched viewers was none other than ex-housemate, Josh Ford's.

The Sparkle star's emotional moment resonated deeply online as he shared the heartbreaking memory of a fatal car accident in 2023, where he lost all of his closest friends. He was the sole survivor in the crash.

In an interview with Nelson Canlas for 24 Oras, Josh reflected on the lasting impact of the tragedy.

"I wasn't really blaming myself but, I was probably like bed-ridden for like a month. I couldn't process things at the start. That was two years ago. So, it was still heavy with me," he shared.

Josh admitted that it left a deep wound in his heart. But he continues to carry on, holding his friends' memories close.

"You can never move on with something like that. You just have to learn how to move on talaga. But palagi ko pa rin silang iniisip, they are not only my friends but my brothers. Never ko pong makakalimutan 'yon and I always try to talk to them in my prayers, or whenever I'm wearing something they gave to me. Lagi ko po silang inaalala," he added.

Despite the pain, Josh found comfort in the friendships he made inside the PBB house. He said the bonds they formed filled a void in his heart and somehow made him healed from past struggles.

One of his closest friends in the house was his Team JoRa partner, Ralph De Leon.

"I'm so happy na I got close with him kasi si Ralph he's such a good guy. Even before PBB, I knew about him pero hindi pa kami masyado close noon. When we got in, I got to know who he is. Wow! Sobrang bait ni Ralph and I can't wait to meet and to see him again," he said.

Josh also developed a sibling-like bond with returning housemate Charlie Fleming. He even believed the Sparkle actress deserved to win this season with her skills and personality.

"She's like a younger sister to me. Parang naging kuya na rin po ako sa kaniya sa loob ng bahay. I was always looking after her," he noted.

Josh and Ralph were the fourth evicted team on May 10. However, due to popular demand, Pinoy Big Brother launched a wild card comeback round. Thanks to overwhelming fan votes, both Ralph and Charlie were given a second chance and have re-entered the house.

Meanwhile, Josh and the other evicted housemates expressed their deep gratitude to fans who supported them throughout their PBB journey.

Josh is also excited to reunite with loved ones and hinted at upcoming comebacks on the horizon.
