Award-winning singer-songwriter Josh Groban is set to visit Manila for his concert in February and has often discussed his deep connection with Filipino fans.

But it isn't just the Philippines' passion for his music that has captivated him. Josh also holds a special fondness for Asia's Romantic Balladeer and Kapuso singer Christian Bautista, with whom he shares a memorable history.

In an exclusive interview with GMANetwork.com on Thursday, January 8, Josh looked back on his friendship and musical connection with the singer.

Christian opened Josh's concert in Manila in 2019. They also shared the stage on the same concert and performed “We Will Meet Once Again.”

“I have a long-running connection and joke with Christian Bautista,” Josh shared with GMANetwork.com. “He's an incredible artist and has a wonderful voice.”

Josh also shared his wish to work with the Kapuso singer again.

He said, “I feel like, at some point, Christian and I, we need to collaborate on something.”

On one of his posts on X (formerly Twitter) after the concert, Christian expressed his delight at opening Josh's show in Manila.

Christian wrote, “I started my career singing his songs. Now I'm glad that I got to meet him and that I got to thank him for his music that inspired us all.”

Meanwhile, Josh is coming back to the Philippines on February 18 for his GEMS World Tour at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.
