A distressed Joy Woolshire-Sotto, wife of politician Gian Sotto, is seen on Instagram late last week as she shared that her daughter Amari had to be rushed to the hospital due to an arm injury.
In the post, she wrote, “2 weeks ago! What most parents dread at this time, having to go to a hospital or see a doctor, happened to us!
“She was in pain and couldn't move her right arm. I was praying and praying for two days that it would be okay after putting cold compress but it got worse. It swelled and she would cry from the pain.”
Amid her worry, she was then advised by her friends (who are doctors) that she should have Amari's arm checked via X-ray.
“We needed to get an X-ray. Imagine the fear and worry going through our heads!
“But God is good all the time. We found a Hi-Precision clinic that was open so that's where we went. I was still scared to go though but we went in full gear, we wore our masks, jackets, glasses, and of course prayers for full protection.”
At the end of the session, Joy was relieved to know that her daughter didn't have any broken bones but had multiple ligament sprain and tissue contusion that “had to be on a sling for 2-3 weeks and cold compress 3x a day.”
Fortunately, Amari has completely healed and is back to her normal self as if nothing had happened.
Joy even shared a video of her daughter dancing to her heart's content as the whole family sings to Hillsong's “Hosanna.”
On Easter Sunday, Joy and Gian announced that they are expecting their sixth child together.
She wrote, “16 weeks! So timely that as we celebrate the resurrection of Christ, we also want to share that we are celebrating life… life of a new blessing.
“[It's] a secret we've been keeping since January. This came as a big surprise to us since we were not planning to have another one but our plan was not God's plan!”
She is expected to give birth in September 2020.
