In a heartfelt social media post on Christmas, December 25, Joyce Pring reflected on how her relationship with the Christmas season has been completely transformed from a time of loneliness to a celebration of family and faith.
She also took the opportunity to look back at the “first things” or the earliest days of romance with her husband Juancho Triviño, pinpointing the exact moments she began falling for the actor-host.
Joyce admitted that Christmas was not always her favorite time of year, often serving as a reminder of childhood struggles and feeling "out of place."
Before meeting Juancho, she typically coped with the holiday blues by burying herself in work and hosting events.
“Christmas was never my favorite time of the year. It highlighted many of my pains and struggles growing up,” she wrote in the caption.
“I often spent it more out of place and lonely, and focused my energy most of the season just thinking about work and the amount of events I could host or attend,” she continued.
Joyce also detailed how her 2018 courtship with Juancho redefined the holidays for her.
Despite having only known each other for a few weeks, Juancho extended a bold Christmas Day invitation for her to meet his parents, siblings, and extended relatives, marking a pivotal moment in their love story.
“Come 2018 when my strapping, handsome, TV co-host decided to start courting me. Nag umpisa ang ligaw nya ng December 7, and on Christmas day he invited me to meet his whole family. Yes, parents, lola, titas, siblings, cousins and all,” Joyce explained.
“At first sobrang hesitant ko because we had literally just started getting to know each other; but he insisted and I was enthralled, so I went,” she added.
Joyce also mentioned that meeting Juancho was a blessing of “grace and mercy” from the divine, someone who was "willing to pursue her heart" and had the courage to introduce her to his entire family.
"How did a usual loner like myself find someone who was just so willing to pursue my heart and proudly introduce me to his whole family even before we became boyfriend-girlfriend?" Pring wrote. "Only by some crazy coincidence? I now know it was the utter grace and mercy of our King Jesus."
She also shared a poignant "full circle" moment: waking up pregnant while her two older children bonded with the same extended family that first welcomed her with open arms seven years ago.
"They've always been kind to me," she wrote of the Triviño clan, "and now they are the family to whom I belong."
Joyce concluded her post with a heartfelt Christmas greeting: “Merry Christmas from The Triviños, may the grace and glory of God be upon you and yours this season.”
Joyce and Juancho first teased the news of the arrival of their third baby with a viral, humorous video showing them "randomly" checking a pregnancy test.
