Amid the growing concerns of the coronavirus pandemic, Kapuso host Joyce Pring has one thing to smile about.
In an Instagram post, the Unang Hirit mainstay shared that her husband, Juancho Trivino, started a non-profit organization during the mandated enhanced community quarantine.
She gladly wrote, “My husband started a non-profit organization during this time of crisis and so far they've bought 200++ PPEs for our frontliners in small hospitals that are in need.
“Next on their agenda is to aid low-income households and families who need supplies.
“We do what we can, in our own little way. There is a crisis we're fighting here. There are families starving, people losing their jobs, frontliners suffering. Please, let's help them.”
She added, “There is a just and holy God who sees all our actions -- please think twice before you take this situation and use it as an opportunity to take advantage.”
In his own Instagram account, Juancho also shared his “praise report” to what his non-profit organization achieved since starting last March 30.
He said, “Now, it is doing great. Just last night, we received a PhP 59,000 donation and it came from a lot of anonymous people who don't want to be named -- I would like to thank you.
“To the frontliners, we are going to help and help is coming. We'll do our best.
“'Yung halos PhP 60,000 donations is around 200 PPEs worth, a thousand boxes of surgical gloves and masks, and alcohol, at marami pang iba.”
In the caption, the Kapuso actor shared that they are helping the frontliners in Amang Rodriguez Hospital and Premier Medical Center.
It was on March 30 when Kapuso stars Juancho Trivino, Thea Tolentino, and Mikoy Morales, together with their friends, have all come together to start RelievePH, a non-profit organization that aims to help out in the fight against COVID-19.
According to Juancho, the main goal is to bring Personal Protective Equipment to hospitals in need of resources.
To donate, you may contact RelievePH through their official Instagram account or Facebook page.
