Juancho Trivino best actor as padre salvi

Juancho Trivino gained another milestone when he won the Best Supporting Actor award at the 2022 TAG Awards Chicago. Congratulations, Kapuso!

Juancho Trivino reached another milestone at the start of the year when he won the Best Supporting Actor award at the recently concluded 2022 TAG Awards Chicago for his role as Padre Salvi in the hit fantasy series Maria Clara at Ibarra.

The 3rd Annual TAG Awards Chicago was held last December 31.

“May you continue to inspire others. Keep blessing the world with your core gift,” TAG Media Awards said in the announcement.

Organized by TAG MEDIA, the award-giving body recognizes and highlights the achievements of celebrities and influencers in entertainment, entrepreneurship, and social media.

Juancho previously announced his nomination in a tweet when he said that this will be his first time being nominated for an international award after 10 years in showbiz.

“Iboto ninyo na ako para ipagmalaki ko naman sa kapitbahay ko, ayaw nila maniwala eh,” Juancho said in a separate Twitter post.

Aside from the Maria Clara at Ibarra star, Dingdong Dantes also received the Best Actor Award for his dual role as Michael and Nate in the mini-series I Can See You: AlterNate in a tie with Piolo Pascual.

Fellow Maria Clara at Ibarra stars Barbie Forteza (Klay) and Julie Ann San Jose (Maria Clara) received nominations for the Best Actress Award and for the Best Supporting Actress award respectively, as well as other Kapuso stars.
