Judy Ann Santos and Iza Calzado penned their gratitude for Mother Lily Monteverde.
On August 4, the local entertainment industry was met with the shocking news of the passing of veteran producer and Regal Entertainment founder Lily Monteverde.
Celebrities and personalities extended their condolences and paid tribute to Mother Lily, including Judy Ann Santos and Iza Calzado.
Judy Ann shared on Instagram a photo of her and Mother Lily, which the actress said was their last photo together. According to Judy Ann, it was taken pre-pandemic during their meeting for the producer's biopic.
In her caption, Judy Ann recounted how her firsts in showbiz were under Mother Lily.
Judy Ann continued, "[G]inawa mong makulay ang buhay ng maraming tao sa industriyang ito na minahal mo ng sobra sobra.. and for that.. [I] will forever be grateful for your trust and love.. andito ako sa industriyang to, dahil sayo."
Judy Ann concluded her heartfelt tribute with a 'thank you' to the late producer.
"[T]hank you mother.. fly high and enjoy walking around the heavens with father.. we love you soo much!" she said.
Iza Calzado also penned her gratitude for Mother Lily in an Instagram post, thanking her for all the work she gave her.
Iza said a lot of opportunities "helped me grow and evolve as an artist and helped me build a better life for myself and my loved ones."
"[Y]ou were kind to me and supportive of me and I will carry that in my heart," she continued.
Iza mused how she will always remember Mother Lily "with a bright smile on your face, either playing the piano or stretching and moving around saying it is the key to staying young."
Many other celebrities have paid their respects to Mother Lily, including Maricel Soriano, Vilma Santos, Manilyn Reynes, Janice de Belen, and Albert Martinez, among others.
