Julia Montes penned her appreciation and gratitude, following her win as Best Actress at the 7th Entertainment Editors' Choice Awards or The EDDYS.

The acclaimed actress clinched the award for her remarkable performance in the romance-drama film Five Breakups and a Romance, which she top-billed with Multimedia Star Alden Richards.

Julia expressed how thankful she is in her recent Instagram post, as she posted snaps from the awards night.

In her lengthy caption, Julia recounted how she had questions and doubts about her capabilities before doing Five Breakups and a Romance, but that was until she met their director, Irene Emma Villamor.

“[T]inuruan niya akong pahalagahan ang sarili at paniwalaang kaya ko ang mga bagay-bagay,” Julia mused.

She added, “Unang pagkakataon ko yata sa mga nagawa kong pelikula na-excite akong ipakita sa mga kaibigan ko ang pelikula dahil proud ako sa proyekto.”

Julia also took the time to thank her co-star and good friend, Alden, in the caption.

“I will never have the chance na makatanggap ng Best Actress if not with my Best Actor kong si Lance. PAR, salamat sa suporta at pagpapalakas ng loob ko sa pelikula natin,” she said.

Julia and Alden also took home the Box Office Heroes Award at the 7th Entertainment Editors' Choice Awards.

Julia concluded her post with a special “thank you” to everyone who watched and supported their film.

“Maraming, maraming [s]alamat po sa lahat ng nakapanuod at na-appreciate ang aming pelikula. Para po sa inyo ang recognition na ito! Sana po patuloy natin supportahan ang pelikulang Pilipino!”
