Julia Montes joined Alden Richards as he marked his 15 years in showbiz at the Moving ForwARd: 15 Years of Alden Richards concert.
Asia's Multimedia Star Alden Richards recently gathered his fans and supporters for his Moving ForwARd: 15 Years of Alden Richards concert, celebrating his 15 years in showbiz on December 13 at the Sta. Rosa Laguna Multi-Purpose Complex.
In an Instagram post, Sparkle shared a video of Julia Montes surprising the actor on stage, making the milestone concert even more memorable.
In the video, Julia, together with the staff, pranked Alden by pretending that technical difficulties had occurred while they were watching congratulatory messages for him.
After appearing on stage, the actress delivered a touching message for Alden.
“Congratulations, 15 years. Alam niyo po, sa lahat ng nandito na sumusuporta at nagmamahal kay Alden, tama po 'yung taong sinuportahan niyo kasi grabe, noong nakilala ko 'to, sabi ko iba,” she said.
“Kaya ka nandito kung nasaan ka ngayon, deserve na deserve mo. We're so proud of you, congratulations,” she added.
Still surprised and grateful, Alden shared the story of his friendship with Julia, which began during their 2023 film Five Breakups and a Romance.
“Actually po kasi, back story lang po ng friendship naming dalawa ng pare kong si Julia. We all started [in] Five Breakups and a Romance, somehow meron kaming [damage] part, and minsan kasi parang you get to really deal with that,” the actor shared.
“For the right people, I am not saying with the right people na may damage part 'yun, but I think, hinawakan kasi ni Julia 'yung kamay ko during that time,” he explained.
Emotional yet grateful, Alden expressed how much he values his friendship with Julia.
“Gusto ko lang magpasalamat sayo for everything, and 'yung pinapakita kong support sayo na sinabi ko sayo noong natapos 'yung pelikula natin, hindi mawawala. I'll stay true to that and ngayon, nandito ka, hindi ako sanay. Hindi talaga ako sanay na sinu-surprise pero alam mo ba kung sino 'yung mga tao behind this, but thank you, Juls,” he said.
Alden also admitted that the film had a significant impact on him and that he continues to carry the lessons he learned from it.
“Laking bagay sa akin ng pelikula natin. I'm sure alam mo 'yan. Marami akong nadala na turo sa sarili ko dahil sa mga kuwentuhan nating dalawa kasama si Direk Irene pero maraming maraming salamat for being here, my greatest friend pero love you, Juls,” he concluded.
In November, Alden surprised Julia at the product launch of her newest business venture, food supplement gummies.
