Julian Estrada set the record straight on his involvement in the recent Boracay incident.

Senator Jinggoy Estrada's son and digital content creator, Julian Estrada, clarified the details surrounding the recent incident in Boracay.

According to a report from GMA Integrated News, the two were vacationing on the island when three men attacked them.

Julian decided to set the record straight to end speculations about the incident. He shared his side of the story on Facebook by showing a photo of himself with wounds and bruises under his right eye.

"There was no fight. It was an unprovoked attack," Julain wrote on its caption.

"Jelo and I were already walking away from a peaceful night, heading home, when one of them walked up, said a few words and threw the first punch. What followed wasn't a scuffle, it was a group jumping."

He went on to express his dismay over the misleading narratives and hate comments they received online.

He said, "Twisting a story they weren't even there for. This wasn't some bar fight. We weren't looking for trouble and we sure as hell didn't start any.

"But it's easier I guess for strangers to believe the version that fits their bias. It's easier to hate than to ask what really happened so before you speak on someone else's pain, make sure you know the truth because what you say says more about you than it ever will about me."

The actor ended his post with a note of gratitude for those who checked in and offered support.

"I'm taking time to rest and move forward. That's all there is to it," he said.

Julian reportedly sustained a blow to the head, and one of his toenails chipped off from repeated kicks after falling down. On other hand, his cousin Jelo suffered a nasal injury.

Meanwhile, the three suspects have been taken to the local authorities in Malay, Aklan.

Senator Jinggoy Estrada has since filed a formal complaint of physical injury against the assailants last Saturday, May 24.
