After four and a half years, Julie Anne San Jose is set to graduate with a degree in Communication Arts from Angelicum College next week.

“It’s very fulfilling… Isa sa pinaka-importanteng bagay ay matapos mo 'yung pag-aaral at makuha mo yung diploma mo at iaabot mo sa mga magulang mo. Sobrang priceless lang talaga siguro nun,” she said.

Julie Anne takes extra pride in the achievement because she balanced academics with her showbiz career.

“[There is a sense of] relief kasi parang worth it lahat ng pagod, lahat ng stress, lahat ng puyat. It’s also an achievement and fulfillment for me because I work and study at the same time,” she added.

The 22-year-old actress, host and recording artist opted to enroll as a regular student instead of going through a special curriculum.

“[I’m a] regular student. I’m not really used to home school kasi since high school, regular school ako tapos kapag may mga schedules like rehearsals or taping, [dun ako mag-e-early] dismissal. I [really] try to cope up as much as I can [and] kailangan gusto ko mataas 'yung grades,” she shared.

Even with continuous opportunities in show business for the past several years, she made sure to value her schooling and aim for excellence as she does in other aspects of her life.

“For me, sobrang important talaga ng education. 'Yun 'yung isang bagay ng hindi mapapantayan ng kahit ano pa… I’m very excited.”
