Julie Anne San Jose was chosen by Netflix Philippines to make a cover of the theme song of its biggest animated film this 2020.

Asia's Pop Diva Julie Anne San Jose is over-the-moon thrilled that she has once again added another feather in her cap.

Marking another milestone in her music career, she was tapped by Netflix to do a cover of "Rocket to the Moon," the theme song of Over The Moon, the biggest animated film of the on-demand video streaming service this 2020, for the Philippines.

"I'm just very thankful for this opportunity na isa rin ako sa mga napili ng Netflix, so I'm excited to share it to everyone and it's such a great movie.

"I have seen the movie and it's perfect for kids and you can watch it with your family, and napakaganda rin ng moral lesson," Julie stated in an exclusive interview with GMANetwork.com recently.

Julie shared that shooting the music video was fun, specifically because of two things: one, it has many special effects, and two, she had to act out certain scenes with "imaginary friends."

"I did a recording and a video shoot and it was pretty fun," Julie Anne uttered with excitement. The Kapuso star then added, "Ang kaibahan lang nito is may involvement ng green screen and I have to interact with my imaginary friends like 'yung characters sa paligid ng video.

"No'ng ni-record ko 'yung song, it happens to be one of my favorites to date."

Over The Moon follows the story of Fei Fei, a 14-year-old teenage girl who believes in Chang'e ever since the loss of her mother. She builds a rocket to the moon on a mission to prove the existence of the legendary moon goddess.

Fei Fei is voiced by New York-based Chinese-Filipino actress and singer Cathy Ang. Apparently, Cathy isn't the only voice actor with Filipino roots in Over The Moon. Conrad Ricamora, known for portaying Oliver Hampton in American series How to Get Away with Murder, is the other Filipino-American performer who is part of the said film, playing Houyi.

Over The Moon was first shown at the Montclair Film Festival on October 17, 2020 and premiered on Netflix on October 23, 2020. -- with interviews from Felix Ilaya.
