Julie Anne San Jose had to be rushed to the hospital, which made her unable to perform at Regine Velasquez's concert.
Julie Anne San Jose missed the chance to reunite with the Asia's Songbird Regine Velasquez onstage at the latter's concert titled Regine Rocks The Repeat last April 19.
Previously, the Limitless Star expressed gratitude on Facebook to Regine for giving her the opportunity and understanding her unexpected situation. To fill the gap, Asia's Pop Heartthrob Darren Espanto replaced her on short notice.
In an interview with Aubrey Carampel for 24 Oras, Julie Anne said she had been anticipating her performance with Regine. In fact, she had rehearsed the day before the event.
However, the Sparkle singer experienced severe stomach pain and a migraine attack on the morning of the concert day, prompting her to rush to the hospital.
"Paggising ko, bigla na lang ako nasusuka and it went on for hours. 'Tapos sabi ko, ayoko muna dalin ang sarili ko sa ospital kasi baka mamaya mawawala naman or whatsoever. Pero nung dire-diretso na, hindi talaga tumitigil, nagpa-ospital ako kasi natakot din ako at yung family ko, natakot sila. Even Ray [Rayver Cruz] was there pinuntahan niya ako sa ospital," she said.
After undergoing medical exams, Julie Anne was quickly discharged and cleared to resume work.
Despite her improved condition, Julie Anne still felt regretful about withdrawing from the concert.
"Siyempre, nakaka-feel bad kasi talagang looking forward ako na makasama ulit si ate [Regine] sa stage."
Recently, Julie Anne traveled to Canada with Sparkle stars Rayver Cruz, Bianca Umali, Ruru Madrid, Barbie Forteza, and David Licauco for their Sparkle Goes to Canada Tour.
She said, "It was a very good experience kasi nagkaroon kami ng chance to be with our global pinoys and kapuso abroad. Ano napakasaya na napaka fun. Very entertaining and sobra mainit ang pagtanggap sa amin ng mga global pinoys."
Apart from their performances, Julie Anne and her real-life boyfriend, Rayver, enjoyed bonding in the country, even extending their stay. During their vacation, they experienced snow, attended NBA games, and witnessed the awaited solar eclipse.
