Rayver Cruz and Julie Anne San Jose new music

Are the newly released heartbreaking songs of the 'JulieVer' love team related to the status of their relationship?

The 'JulieVer' tandem, composed of Asia's Limitless Star Julie Anne San Jose and Kapuso actor-host Rayver Cruz, recently shared their new individual singles with their fans.

The two performed their latest songs on a recent episode of the Kapuso variety show All-Out Sundays. Julie Anne sang her sentimental new track titled "Kung Ikaw ay Bibitaw," while her boyfriend, Rayver, performed his song, "Dust of the Universe."

Many were surprised that both songs from the real-life celebrity couple carry heartbreaking and painful messages.

The emotional weight and painful lyrics of their newly-released tracks have sparked rumors regarding the current state of their relationship.

In an exclusive interview with Chika Minute on the program 24 Oras, Julie Anne and Rayver clarified that their newly released songs have nothing to do with their current relationship status.

Julie Anne also emphasized that her songwriting is driven by imagination rather than personal experience.

“Para sa akin kasi, 'yun 'yung maganda 'pag songwriting; binubuo mo 'yung sarili mong story sa isang mundo kahit na wala ka ro'n,” Julie Anne shared.

Despite the painful lyrics, Rayver explained that his newly-released track carries his signature sound.

“Ano kasi siya ['yung kantang, Dust of the Universe], na-stuck siya sa past. Pero kasi, ang irony kasi, 'yung vibe ng song is very Rayver Cruz pa rin. So, kapag marinig mo 'yung song, sa second time na maririnig mo siya, doon mo mare-realize na masakit pala 'yung lyrics pero mae-enjoy mo 'yung vibe,” Rayver said.

Meanwhile, Rayver Cruz is busy preparing for the upcoming Bida sa Arena game. He will be playing basketball alongside fellow Kapuso stars such as David Licauco, Dustin Yu, Will Ashley, and Josh Ford, as they go head-to-head against a team of Kapamilya actors.

He pointed out that the upcoming game is a chance for fans to see their favorite leading men in a new light.

“Nakakatuwa kasi 'yung mga leading man natin sa Kapuso, 'di lang sila basta leading man, talagang mga athletic and mga players talaga sila. Dito ibang side naman ang maipapakita nila,” Rayver shared.

Asked if she would be attending the game, Julie Anne enthusiastically replied: “Of course, I will be there. I will be there to support and cheer him. I'm gonna be the happiest one. Talagang sabi ko kay Ray, kung saan ka, doon ako.”
