Oscar discovered Nora was pregnant shortly after their marriage. He immediately assumed the child was his, and promised Nora to be a good provider for their family. Jun-jun, her child, grew up to be a sickly child. Because Oscar did not have a stable job, his family went through hard times most of the time.
Determined to give her child the best, Nora decided to ask Divina for her share in their father’s wealth. But Divina denied her any of the money she rightfully deserved, saying everything their father left her has already been used to pay off the company’s debts. Nora insisted for her right in the mansion instead, and despite Oscar’s discouragements and Divina’s deceptions, she still moved to the mansion with her family.
