Local telecommunications company SMART is amping their advertising and marketing strategy for 2020 by bringing South Korean actor Hyun Bin, aka Captain Ri Jeon Hyeok, to our local tv screens.

In their social media account, SMART released a teaser announcement revealing that “The Captain is coming. Watch out for the big RiVeal.”

The 9-second teaser shows the side profile of the actor as he enters a cool sports car. The numbers “06.01.2020” then flashed on-screen which hints at the target release date of the ad.

Following the tweet is SMART's very own Chairman Manny V. Pangilinan who confirmed the presence of the actor in the ad.

He said, “Yes. Hyun Bin it is. Ad online and tv will break out on Monday, June 1, around noon. Go go go Smart!

This great announcement follows the speculation of another Hyun Bin endorsement by local clothing brand BENCH/ who said that someone is going to “crash land” very soon.

In a post made earlier today, the post said, “Your crush, landing soon.”

They even added in the caption, “We won't let you move on. After months of keeping it a secret, the wait is almost over.

“And yes, you read it right. Everyone's crush --- #LandingOnBENCH soon.”
