Several Kapuso programs and personalities were recently honored by various award-giving bodies.

GMA News pillar Jessica Soho, widely regarded as the most-awarded broadcast journalist in the country, added another feather to her cap after being awarded Best News Program Anchor (State of The Nation with Jessica Soho) and Best Public Affairs Program Host for her show Kapuso Mo Jessica Soho at the recently concluded 9th PMAP Makatao Awards for Media Excellence.

Held at the Dusit Thani Hotel in Makati, Jessica Soho is one of the awardees for her outstanding work and contribution that enhance public understanding of the role and impact of good people management in both the public and private sector of the country.

Similarly, GMA News TV won TV Station of the Year while i-Witness' Labor of Love episode by Sandra Aguinaldo received the Best Public Affairs Program.

At the same time, GMA News TV shows Biyahe Ni Drew and Pinas Sarap won Most Supportive Media Award on Television at the Gawad Singkaban 2019 held at the Tanghalang Nicanor Abelardo, Hiyas ng Bulacan Sentrong Pangkultura, Antonio S. Bautista Bulacan Provincial Capitol Compound in Malolos, Bulacan.

Now in its second year, the Gawad Singkaban honors shows and individuals who recognize the tourism potential of the province of Bulacan.
