Samsung Galaxy S20

Are you ready for the future of phones?

Want to ring in the new year with a new phone?

If you answered 'yes' to the question above, well, you're in luck! Tech giant Samsung recently rolled out its latest flagship device, the Galaxy S20, at its “Unpacked” event in San Francisco on Tuesday, February 11.

The theme of the event? 2020, which is why the number 20 is attached to the name of their latest device.

According to the smartphone maker, the new phone boasts a camera architecture capable of taking “pro-grade” photos and videos.

The decision for the tech company to jump straight from S10 to the S20 meant to signal the shift to the new generation of devices. It also has a bigger screen which means it has an even bigger and better battery support.

But more importantly, the phone's edge comes from its 5G capabilities which promise to power many technologies of the future, including self-driving cars and robots (yes, you read that right).

This was attested by TM Roh, the company's president during the said event.

“As we enter this new decade, 56 will completely change how we communicate and how we experience the world around us. Samsung is providing a next-generation device for transforming people's lives.”

So how much would it cost?

The S20 has three variants starting at US$999 up to US$1,399. That's roughly PhP 50,000 up to PhP 70,000. Also, the phone will be available in four colors namely, pink, blue, gray, and black, and will be available starting March 6.

On the same event, they also introduced the Galaxy Z Flip which is said to combat Motorola's reboot of the Razr.
