GMA Prime series Sanggang-Dikit FR, headlined by Dennis Trillo and Jennylyn Mercado, closed its run on an emotionally satisfying note, delivering long-awaited justice while giving fans a reason to believe in love again.
After seven months of tension, secrets, and moral gray areas, the finale, aired on Friday (January 30), tied up its biggest conflicts without losing the heart that kept viewers invested from the start.
In the finale, the court delivered its verdict as the judge found Glen (Juancho Trivino) guilty on all charges, sentencing him to life imprisonment without parole. For Tonyo (Dennis Trillo) and Bobby (Jennylyn Mercado), the ruling is both vindication and heartbreak, forcing them to fully confront the crimes that tore their families apart.
Healing began quietly. Bobby and Faye (Zonia Mejia) mourn the parents they lost while affirming the family they've found in each other. Blood and betrayal may have shaped their past, but sisterhood defines their future.
Redemption followed for Tonyo as he apologized to his father, Victor (Al Tantay), for doubting him and destroying his life. Victor's forgiveness allowed father and son to finally let go of the past and choose to start again.
Hope took a romantic turn when Tonyo staged an elaborate ruse, using a fake snatching incident, to formally propose to Bobby. Though touched, Bobby hesitated, unsure if she's ready to say "yes."
After a time jump, emotions boiled over when a pregnant Bobby stormed into a drinking spot, confronting Tonyo for seemingly cheating with another woman. The truth quickly unraveled: Tonyo is undercover in a carjacking case. When criminals nearby realize who he is, chaos erupted. Tonyo gave chase, Bobby jumped in without hesitation, and the two fought side by side once more.
Tonyo apologized for keeping the operation secret. Bobby admitted she found him on her own and when a robbery broke out moments later, she refused to stay behind. Gun drawn, resolve restored, the couple charged forward together with a renewed battle cry: “Sanggang Dikit—For real.”
The series closed not just with justice, but with love, forgiveness, and partners who choose each other—and the fight—every time.
