“It diverted my attention. Hindi ko masyadong naisip 'yung break-up so it really helped me through a tough time." - Winwyn Marquez

She even recently uploaded her cover of their newly released hit single “Boy with Luv” in her YouTube channel.

But did you know that the K-Pop group actually helped the Kapuso actress get over her break-up?

In an exclusive interview with GMANetwork.con, Winwyn eagerly shared her journey on how she has moved on from a previous relationship.

She says, “I'm a K-drama fanatic talaga. Siguro ang una kong napanood is Princess Hours pa.

“So when I watched Hwarang on Netflix, I fell in love with every character.

After watching the Korean series, she fell immediately in love with Kim Taehyung's character that led the actress to start searching for him in Google.

“I've heard of BTS pero I didn't know Taehyung was part of it.

“So I watched their videos, dance rehearsals, and I saw their music videos. Wala na, as in! Na-suck in na ako.”

It was at that moment when she started listening and searching for their song lyrics that eventually led her to start moving on from her break up.

She shares, “Sobrang swak sa akin nung lyrics. E, kakahiwalay ko lang sa boyfriend ko nun.

“To be honest, walang echos, it helped me.

“It diverted my attention to that. Hindi ko masyadong naisip yung break-up so it really helped me through a tough time.

“And nagulat din ako na totoo pala siya. Kasi, nababasa ko na ito yung effect nila to other people. So for me, na-experience ko din siya.

“It's like I don't want them to be my boyfriend but I want them to be my best friend.”

So if you're going through a tough time, maybe it's time to change up your tunes and listen to some BTS.
