
Korean singer Chungha's agency released a statement saying the she has contracted the coronavirus recently.
On December 7, Chungha wrote a post on her official fan site to reassure her fans.
Soompi shared the following message from Chungha, "Our Byulharang (Chungha's fans), I'm leaving this post in case you get too worried if I don't say anything~ I'm sorry and sorry again. I tried to be careful, but I guess it wasn't enough. I was also urgently notified today and just found out. I'll return again and promote good health! Our Byulharang should also be careful and careful once more! Don't worry too much, and let's meet soon!! Once again, I'm sorry."
Korean media reported the singer has postponed all schedules and is currently in self-isolation, while her colleagues and other close contacts will undergo coronavirus testing.
Some of her close contacts include girl group TWICE who have already received testing, according to reports.
In March 2020, Chungha tested negative for the coronavirus after close contact with a staff member who turned out to have COVID-19.
The singer has been actively promoting her upcoming single "X" which will be released on December 10.
Chungha's first full album QUERENCIA is scheduled to come out in January 2021.
She has shared two pre-release songs this year, “Stay Tonight” in April and “PLAY” in July.
She also collaborated with DJ R3HAB for the single “Dream of You,” which was released in November.
