Making his debut in the 2023-2024 season, center basketball player Kai Sotto secured a triumphant victory with his new Japan B. League squad, the Yokohama B-Corsairs, last Saturday, December 30.
The team won against Seahorses Mikawa with the scores 73-72 as Sotto also registered four points, four rebounds, and three blocks within less than 13 minutes in the game.
This Saturday, Yokohama is expecting to play against Japan basketball team Toyama Grouses in their next league match.
Kai Sotto transfered to Yokohama B-Corsairs on loan from his previous team, the Hiroshima Dragonflies until the end of the 2023- 2024 season. The seven-foot-three player joined the team last December 26 despite his continuous recovery from a back injury in his previous NBA game.
On Yokohama team's social media page, the center player expressed his gratitude and excitement to be back in the basketball court despite his injury.
"Very excited, very blessed to be given this opportunity coming off an injury. It's pretty difficult but just to see the trust this team has for me gives me more energy to just go out and give my best to help this team win more games. So I'm very excited," he said in a posted video.
