Kairo Lazarte bids farewell to 'Poncy' as 'You're My Favorite Song' wraps up.
Rising actor and Cloud 7 member Kairo Lazarte has officially wrapped up work on his acting debut, You're My Favorite Song, sharing a deeply emotional message on social media to reflect on his journey portraying his beloved character, Poncy.
The series officially wrapped up on Friday, July 31, delivering a thrilling and heart-fluttering finale.
Fans tuned in for the ultimate resolution to the beautiful story of Angel (Caprice Cayetano) and the three boys in her life: Miguel (Heath Jornales), Calix (Clifford), and Zion (Marco Masa).
In a heartfelt post that quickly drew warm reactions from supporters and industry peers, Kairo described the GMA Public Affairs production as far more than just a first acting project. For the newcomer, the project evolved into an “unexpected home” and a life-changing milestone.
“Some homes find you when you least expect them,” Kairo wrote.
He continued, “You're My Favorite Song became more than my first acting project. It became an unexpected home, a family, and a chapter that I'll always carry with me. Saying goodbye to Poncy is bittersweet, but I wouldn't trade this experience for anything.”
Taking a moment to honor those who guided him through his first stint on set, the Kapuso actor extended his sincere appreciation to the network and creative team behind the series.
He expressed deep gratitude to GMA Public Affairs for trusting a fresh face with a pivotal role and taking a chance on his potential.
He also showered praise on Director JP Habac, calling him “the best first director I could ask for” for providing steady guidance and fostering a comfortable environment for a first-time actor.
Kairo didn't forget the tight-knit team he built along the way, calling it a privilege to have worked alongside his You're My Favorite Song family.
He closed his message with a sweet, dedicated tribute to the show's loyal viewers and supporters, affectionately dubbed the Faves: “To my YMFS family, it was a privilege. And to our Faves, you're called Faves for a reason.”
Kairo Lazarte is a member of Cloud 7, the seven-member P-pop boy group under Sparkle GMA Artist Center.
Known as one of the youngest groups in the Pinoy pop scene, Cloud 7 is composed of seven energetic members who share the stage alongside Kairo: Lukas Garcia, Johann Nepomuceno, Egypt See, Migz Diokno, PJ Yago, and Fian Guevarra.
