Kakai Almeda

Kakai Almeda opened up about one of the toughest moments of her journey on 'Stars on the Floor.'

Kakai Almeda turned her toughest day into one of her most inspiring performances yet on Stars on the Floor.

In an Instagram post, the digital dance star shared a series of photos and videos from her preparation and actual performance during the show's finale.

In some of the clips, Kakai was seen struggling and crying as she battled pain from her injuries on her back, hips, and legs.

“This day was one of the hardest and most painful day of my life -- not just physically, but mentally and emotionally,” she wrote.

She revealed that her mind and body were far from okay, as she had been suffering from hip and back injuries since episode two. Beyond her injuries, she also endured the second day of menstrual cramps, lack of sleep, and pure exhaustion.

“Add to that, unexpected events that broke me down -- I cried nonstop to the point na di na ako makahinga. This day literally tested me in every way possible,” she added.

Despite the pain she was enduring, she said, “Kaya ko po! Pipilitin ko kahit anong mangyari!” even when her body was ready to give up.

Kakai shared, “I pushed through -- took vitamins, ointments, bandages, energy drinks just to lessen the pain & keep my body moving, repeatedly prayed -- 'Lord, please give me strength just for this one,' and He did. Love you Lord!”

“It wasn't the perfect dance, but I gave my all, and that's enough. Truly, everything happens for a reason -- every pain and struggle prepares you for something greater and the growth, lessons, and the friendships you gain along the way,” she continued.

The dance star admitted that she's not the type to share her struggles on social media, but said she opened up to inspire others.

“To everyone who saw my pain and comforted me-- Salamat, MAHAL KO KAYO,” she thanked her supporters, especially her family, friends, coaches, and PatKai fans.

She also expressed gratitude to her duo partner, VXON Patrick, who was unable to perform with her on stage due to a serious injury, and to their coach, Coach El-John.

“Thank you for being my duo and for this opportunity to share the stage with you both,” she said.

Kakai also thanked the dance authorities, Alden Richards, and the entire Stars on the Floor team for “always seeing the best in me.”

She dedicated her journey on the dance show to her twin sister, Kitty Almeda.

At the end of her post, she expressed love to her fellow dance stars, saying she will forever remember all the memories, pain, and tears they shared together on the show.

“MAHAL NA MAHAL KO KAYO! STARS ON THE FLOOR S1 will forever be one of the best chapters of my life,” she said. “Till our next dance, Dance Universe!”
