Singer-comedienne Kakai Bautista almost couldn't put into words her reaction after reading the script of the upcoming family drama movie 'Family History.'

“Nung nabasa ko 'yung script, grabe!” said Kakai during an exclusive interview with GMANetwork.com.

She added, “Satire 'yung script, parang matatawa ka in a very miserable situation.”

This highly-anticipated film of 2019 marks the return of the Kapuso Comedy genius Michael V. to the big screen after so many years. What's more, the story was also written by Michael V. himself.

Kakai went on to describe Michael V.'s writing skills as “pure magic.” She is also confident that moviegoers will be able to relate to the storyline of the movie.

"'Pag tiningnan mo 'yung situation itself, it's really miserable, pero the way he has written the script, he made it really very-very light na mintindihan nung mga tao.

“Pero at the back of your mind pagkatapos mo mapanood o mabasa parang 'hala' may ganun! 'Yun 'yung magic ni Kuya Bitoy.”

Michael V. takes on the lead role as Alex Dela Cruz in 'Family History,' a happily married man who finds himself at a crossroads in his life when a life-changing disease challenges his marriage to his wife, May, portrayed by no other than highly-acclaimed and returning Kapuso Ms. Dawn Zulueta.

It is a heartwarming movie perfect for the whole family. It is slated to premiere in cinemas nationwide starting July 24.
