Kaladkaren and Marina Summers

Kaladkaren came to Marina Summers' defense after negative remarks about her Miss Universe Philippines 2026 hosting, emphasizing the significance of her representation.

TV personality Kaladkaren recently expressed her support for drag queen Marina Summers following her hosting stint at the Miss Universe Philippines 2026 event.

Kaladkaren praised Marina's hosting on X (formerly Twitter) amid negative comments from fellow drag artist Angel Galang, saying, “Binagot mo ang #MUPH. Totoong buhay lang.”

“You can say whatever you want about Marina's hosting, but the fact that she's there on stage—a trans woman hosting the biggest beauty pageant in the country—speaks volumes. Periodt,” she wrote.

“Congratulations, my sister @marinaxsummers! Thank you for your representation,” she added.

Recently, Angel took to social media to apologize to Marina for her earlier criticism of the drag queen's hosting.

“Unang una sa lahat, sorry mga alaga, award sena!! HARD loka!! Pero, sorry, I'm really, really sorry, especially to my sister, Marina,” she said.

She explained that she had overexpressed herself and admitted her mistake, saying she wants to take accountability and responsibility for her actions.

Angel also thanked fellow drag queens who called her out, saying it helped her become better.

“Thank you din sa mga queens na nagsabi sa'kin na mali ang nagawa ko,” she added. “Again, masaya ako para sa lahat ng achievements ng mga sisters ko. TOTOONG BUHAY LANG!!”

Previously, Marina announced that she began her gender transition in early 2025.

Marina and Angel are both former contestants of Drag Race Philippines.
