GMA family sports drama 'Kamao' aired its finale on Friday, October 16, after five months on the air, ending MakMak's journey with a championship victory and a new life beyond boxing.

After five months, GMA family sports drama Kamao, top billed by Kapuso dramatic action star Anton Vinzon, bid farewell as it aired its finale episode on Friday, October 16.

In the final episode, MakMak (Anton) intensified his training for his much-anticipated fight against Pretty Boy (Rafael Rosell) despite his worsening symptoms due to traumatic brain injury.

MakMak and Chloe (Chanty Videla) shared an emotional farewell before the big fight, with MakMak praying for strength as he prepared to face his formidable opponent.

The championship match began with Pretty Boy dominating MakMak in the early rounds. However, MakMak rose from a knockdown and fought back, eventually claiming the welterweight championship title by knockout.

But his victory came at a cost. While celebrating his triumph with his family, MakMak collapsed and suffered a seizure.

Meanwhile, his mom, Nadia (Katrina Halili), regained consciousness and learned that MakMak had fallen into a coma after risking his life to raise funds for her surgery.

Fortunately, MakMak survived and eventually retired from boxing to become a coach. Years later, he trained Tobuts (Matt Lozano) under Team Kamao, passing on his knowledge and experience to the next generation of fighters.

The finale also saw Caloy (Wendell Ramos) face the harsh realities of life behind bars, while MakMak fulfilled a longtime dream by providing his family with a new home. Meanwhile, Lance (Bruce Roeland) and Jolly (Therese Malvar) embarked on a new chapter as they started a family of their own. MakMak's love story with Chloe also reached a major milestone when he proposed to her. Making the moment even more special was a surprise appearance by Boi, played by Will Ashley, who joined the celebration of the couple's engagement.

Following the conclusion of Kamao, GMA Afternoon Prime is set to welcome the new comedy-drama series Delivery Boi, headlined by Will Ashley, which will premiere on Monday, October 19, at 3:20 p.m. on GMA and GMA Play.
