Kang Daniel releases new mini album 'Yellow' with a title track "Antidote." Here's what inspired him with his new music.

Korean singer Kang Daniel has unveiled his new music through his latest album Yellow.

This is his third solo album following Cyan and Magenta, both from 2020.

Along with the album release, Kang Daniel's music video for his new track Antidote on April 13.

The singer also spoke about the inspiration behind the new album.

He said in an interview with Access, "Finally, my EP Yellow is being released and I am very happy.

"I am very thankful people have shown a lot of interest and thankful that my fans have been so patient.

"My hope is that this album can be a gift to them.

"I am also very happy I get to share my story just a lot of things to be thankful for.

"Last of all, I am very happy because I was able to try something different.

"This album is definitely a little different. Before, with subjects I wanted to talk about I was still trying to find my way to talk about it.

"With this album, the inspiration came from myself as a human being, I think that's what makes it unique.

"First of all, the lyrics are really sad and deep.

"Through the topics in Yellow I wanted to show some of my thoughts on what I endured and show a stronger side of myself, a more mature side."

In October 2019, Kang Daniel visited the Philippines for his "Color on Me" Asian tour.

Kang Daniel took a break in 2019 from activities to focus on recovering his health after suffering from a weak immune system, as well as depression and panic disorder.

He ended his hiatus in March 2020 with a travel reality show called Hello, Daniel.

In November 2020, Korean media reported that Kang Daniel and his then girlfriend, Jihyo of TWICE, have broken up after a year and three months of dating.
