TJ Trinidad shares his appreciation for being a part of the musical comedy ‘Diva’, and he talks about being starstruck with one of his castmates as well. Text by Karen de Castro. Kabilang si TJ Trinidad sa cast ng hit primetime comedy musical na Diva. Masaya si TJ na maging parte ng show na ito, na consistent na mataas ang ratings sa primetime television. “I have a high, because I love this show so much,” shares TJ tungkol sa kanyang nararamdaman about the ratings ng Diva. “I didn’t expect to get this attached to a show like this.” Very thankful naman siya to be part of the Philippines’ first musical comedy series sa telebisyon. “It’s such an important aspect of my life, music, and to be able to do these two passions of mine at the same time… I did not expect that kind of sort of satisfaction so it’s been such a thrill, and I’m so happy, I’m so grateful na nasa show ako na ito,” he says. Dito sa Diva ay unang beses niyang nakatrabaho at nakatambal ang Asia’s Songbird na si Regine Velasquez. How does he feel about working with one of the most respected artists in the country? “It’s so overwhelming. I have no words to explain that, how lucky I am to be working with her,” paglalahad ni TJ. “She’s got an amazing voice, Amazing. And you don’t really sort of appreciate it so much because when you hear it on TV, it’s galing, right? But when you hear it face to face, it leaves you dead on your tracks.” Dagdag pa niya, he still gets starstruck kay Regine “When she sings, I have to stop and listen. When she first sang to me face to face, nung first time niya, I forgot my line,” pag-amin niya. Inasahan ba niya na magiging patok ang love team nila ni Regine? “You know, when you go naman into these things, you don’t really think about that, just because I think this sort of thing comes naturally,” sagot ni TJ. “You can’t really tell until you’re actually in it.” He adds, “Obviously you have to be invested in your work, and the kind of character that they give you. You just have to be invested in it. If not you just won’t be able to make it truthful or honest, you know? So when you do that, I suppose, it kinda just works. And you know, it just happens.” May mensahe naman si TJ para sa mga patuloy na sumusuporta ng Diva. “Thank you so much for supporting Diva, thank you so much.
