Here’s a chance to see the some of the country's top performers and icons of the entertainment industry on one stage as they take part in a musical tribute to the one and only Comedy King, Dolphy. Dubbed "Dolphy Alay Tawa, a Musical Tribute for the King of Comedy”, the concert will be held in the SM Mall of Asia Arena on September 19 at 7:00 p.m. and will be broadcast simultaneously on all three networks on September 30.

Aside from Dolphy’s family, the artists who will be part of the special event are Vilma Santos, Nora Aunor, Vic Sotto, Joey de Leon, Sharon Cuneta, Lorna Tolentino, Boyet de Leon, Maricel Soriano, Roderick Paulate, Martin Nievera, Gary Valenciano, Ai-Ai delas Alas, Ogie Alcasid, Edu Manzano, Janno Gibbs, Pauleen Luna, Judy Ann Santos, Ryan Agoncillo, Luis Manzano, Vhong Navarro, Jolina Magdangal, Ruffa Gutierrez, brothers Richard and Raymond Gutierrez, Ruby Rodriguez, Keempee de Leon, Wendell Ramos, Edgar Allan, Martin Escudero, Alex Gonzaga, Danita Paner, Jhong Hilario, Arci Muñoz, Ritz Azul, Iya Villania, Denise Laurel, Melai, Eula Caballero, Angeline Quinto, JC de Vera, Rachelle Ann Go, and the Bulilit Kids. There will also be a special participation by Eddie Garcia, Gloria Romero, Rosa Rosal, Eddie Gutierrez, Nova Villa, German Moreno, Daisy Romualdez, and Susan Roces.

During the concert’s press conference last September 10, Lilybeth G. Rasonable, GMA Network's Executive In-Charge of Production of ETV, shared her thoughts in this once-in-a-lifetime event. “Siyempre ikinararangal natin ‘yun at masaya sa pakiramdam kasi si Tito Dolphy ay talaga naman napakalaki ng contribution sa ating industriya. Magandang maganda ang naging purpose nitong Alay Tawa – hindi  lang magbibigay ng kasiyahan sa mga tao, pero at the same time marami ang matutulungan. It’s a very worthwhile endeavor that we are very honored to be a part of.“

She also described how the network’s participation will be like. “Lahat tayo may portions or segments na naka-assign sa atin to produce equally among the three networks. We are also providing our artists na makakasali doon sa programa,” notes Rasonable.
