Kapuso artists were shocked as they woke up to the bad news that Box Office director Wenn Deramas died due to cardiac arrest. The director passed away at the emergency room of Capitol Medical Center at 6 am on February 29.

Kapuso stars extend their condolences and thank the director for everything he has done for the industry through social media.
Eugene Domingo shares on Instagram that she will miss the director and close friend everyday. She also calls Direk Wenn a gift and someone that she would be grateful for forever.
“Thank you for everything that you are. And for everything that you have done for the industry. Rest in peace i love you.. I am glad we were able to enjoy your last film together in the movie house. I will miss you everyday. Everyday...direk everyday.”
Sunday PinaSaya host Joey Paras posts Direk Wenn’s last text message to him. Direk Wenn just sent Joey a prayer, thanking the Lord for eternal love yesterday. While in denial of his close friend’s passing Joey still replied to Direk today hoping for a reply.
“Mahal na mahal kita. Mahal na mahal na mahal kita... Maraming-maraming Salamat, Direk Wenn! HINDI KITA MAKAKALIMUTAN,” says Joey.
That's My Amboy actress Meryll Soriano shares an iconic photo of Direk while still in shock about the tragic news. “I can't believe it. I love you Tita Direk. Thank you for everything. Rest in peace,” she shares.
Regine Velasquez-Alcasid posts a prayer for the director through Instagram.
After working with the director on a film last year, former Marimar star Candy Pangilinan tweets that Direk Wenn is now going to make people laugh in heaven.
