Legions of fans took part in this year’s highly anticipated entertainment race, the third annual Yahoo! OMG! Awards. Through online texting and voting, 9.25 million votes were tallied. Kapuso stars bagged awards in numerous categories, and Primetime Queen Marian Rivera reigned supreme as the 2013 Yahoo! OMG! Celebrity of the Year. 

 

On July 19, 2013, the purple carpet was rolled out at the SM Mall of Asia Arena for a crowd of 12,000, including VIPs, celebrities, media figures, and most especially, the fans.

 

A total of 133,004 votes were garnered as Barangay LS 97.1 won Yahoo! OMG! FM Radio Station of the Year. 

 

Winning the Yahoo! OMG! Child Star of the Year with 205,282 votes was the witty and adorable Ryzza Mae Dizon. She has captivated viewers not only with her famous Cha-cha dance, but also her hilarious antics in The Ryzza Mae Show.

 

The Dabarkads have set the bar when it comes to noontime entertainment, which is why it was no surprise that Eat Bulaga won Yahoo! OMG! Noontime Show of the Year with 184,993 votes.

 

Likewise, the Bossing of the Eat Bulaga Dabarkads, Vic Sotto bagged The Yahoo! OMG! Male TV Host of the Year was with 151,916 votes.

 

Celebrity Bluff host Eugene Domingo took home the award of Yahoo! OMG! Comedienne of the Year with 138,587 votes.

 

Kapuso loveteam Elmo Magalona and Julie Anne San Jose shone together onstage as they respectively took home Yahoo! OMG! Male Performer of the Year with 134,471 votes and Yahoo! OMG! Female Performer of the Year with 309,132 votes.
 

With their solid supporters and ever-growing fanbase, the Yahoo! OMG! Fan Club of the Year went to JuliElmo Pexers (fans of Julie Anne San Jose and Elmo Magalona), garnering 244,531 votes.

 

To cap off the night, the highest award was presented and given to the biggest star of the year. With a total of 182,744 votes the prestigious Yahoo! OMG! Celebrity of the Year award was won by none other than Marian Rivera who looked classy and regal in her sheer white cut-out gown. Fellow nominees were Anne Curtis, Richard Yap and Jodi Sta. Maria, Sarah Geronimo, and Angel Locsin.

 

Hosted by talented tandem Edu Manzano and Billy Crawford, the night was elevated to a whole new level with top-notch performances from Gary Valenciano, Kris Lawrence, Billy Crawford, Solenn Heussaff, Lovi Poe, Julie Anne San Jose, Elmo Magalona, Franco, Kjwan, Callalily, Erik Santos, Rachelle Ann Go, Christian Bautista, Jon Santos, Young JV, and Yeng Constantino, making it the most iconic event of the entertainment industry this year. A powerful finale was performed by international singing sensation, Charice and the Philippine All-Stars.
