Get ready for the loudest and most exciting showdown on television this Saturday (July 18) as award-winning journalist Kara David and the "Jusa ng Kagandahan" herself, Miss Earth Philippines 2025 Joy Barcoma, face off in Pinas Sarap's Kusina Battle: Lakambukid Edition!

In the two-part special, Kara and Joy will compete in six challenges at a farm in Concepcion, Tarlac.

In Part 1 of Kusina Battle, Kara and Joy will face off in three rounds.

The first round involves harvesting sweet potatoes and hauling the produce using a tractor.

For the second round, they will wade into the mud to gather mole crickets, or kamaru. The mole crickets—considered as rice field pests—are said to be delectable due to their savory, distinct flavor when cooked as adobo. Will Kara and Joy enjoy the adobong kamaru?

Aside from rice farming, the farm is also dedicated to raising and breeding goats. Kara and Joy's speed, resourcefulness, and patience will be put to the test in Round 3 as they must herd the goats into the pen.

And to add an extra challenge to their tasks, the locals of Concepcion will treat them to one of their favorite dishes: kalderetang kambing!

Who will emerge victorious and claim the title of the ultimate Lakambukid? And who will succumb to the field's grueling challenges?
